Job Description:

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will apply your pharmacy education and training into real-world practice, preparing you to transition into a full Pharmacist role. You will work as part of the pharmacy team to provide safe and prompt prescription services, offer compassionate and personalized patient care, and help ensure smooth pharmacy operations. You will also complete a comprehensive training program to deepen your professional skills and knowledge while positively impacting patient health outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

Living the company purpose by following all SOPs at each workstation
Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and personalized care
Offering to counsel and fielding medical questions when appropriate under supervision
Maintaining the highest level of self-awareness and mentoring pharmacy team members
Completing basic inventory activities
Embracing a growth mindset and seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
Traveling to stores in the market to meet business demands
Complying with all federal, state, and local regulations and policies
Supporting delivery of additional patient healthcare services such as immunizations and offsite clinics.

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention to detail and focus
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
Customer service orientation and ability to work well in a team
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Mathematical reasoning
Problem-solving skills
Physical ability to remain mobile, lift and move items, and perform repetitive tasks.

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
