Job Description:

3rd year Pharmacy Intern role at CVS Health focused on transforming health care for customers. The position involves applying pharmacy school learning to real-world practice, supporting pharmacy teams, and developing skills for increasing responsibility through a comprehensive training program.

Job Responsibility:

Applying didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice
Completing comprehensive training roadmap with Key Learning Experiences
Assisting pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations
Operating as part of pharmacy team using Standard Operating Procedures
Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in customer interactions
Offering to counsel patients under pharmacist supervision
Taking telephonic prescriptions from prescribers
Maintaining self-awareness and providing coaching to team members
Completing basic inventory activities
Contributing to team dynamics and embracing growth mindset
Understanding and complying with all relevant laws and regulations
Delivering additional patient health care services where allowable

Requirements:

Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and focus abilities
Customer service and team orientation
Communication skills
Mathematical reasoning
Problem resolution
Physical demands including mobility, lifting, and visual acuity

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
