As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice to prepare for a full Pharmacist role. You will assist the pharmacy team by ensuring operations run smoothly, prescriptions are fulfilled promptly and safely, and providing caring service to patients. You'll follow a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap aimed at deepening knowledge in patient care, safety, and pharmacy operations.

Offering to counsel patients and soliciting information on medical history
Taking telephonic prescriptions and facilitating medication changes
Coaching, training, and mentoring pharmacy team members
Completing inventory activities
Demonstrating a growth mindset and expanding clinical and technical knowledge
Traveling to stores in the market to work shifts as needed
Understanding and complying with relevant laws and regulations
Delivering patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, staffing offsite clinics).
Requirements:
PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety
Actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients’ reactions, and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
Utilize active listening
Ability to use math to solve a problem
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and choosing the best course of action
Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Lift, scan, and bag items
Reach overhead
Move fingers repetitively
Extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items

Stoop to a considerable degree

Occasionally lift of up to 20 lbs

Nice to have:
1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
