3rd year Pharmacy Intern position at CVS Health focused on transforming health care for customers. The role involves supporting pharmacy teams to deliver on brand promise while developing skills for increasing responsibility. Interns will gain hands-on experience through training that includes Key Learning Experiences, activities, and time with district leaders.
Job Responsibility:
Applying didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice
Completing comprehensive training roadmap with Key Learning Experiences (KLEs)
Assisting pharmacy team to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
Filling patients' prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
Operating as part of pharmacy team using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in customer interactions
Contributing to safe and inclusive culture
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations
Offering to counsel and fielding medical questions under pharmacist supervision
Taking telephonic prescriptions from prescriber
Maintaining self-awareness and providing coaching to team members
Completing basic inventory activities
Contributing to high-performing team with growth mindset
Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs
Understanding and complying with all relevant laws and regulations
Delivering additional patient health care services where allowable by law
Requirements:
Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Customer Service and Team Orientation: Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
