Job Description:

Hunter AHP are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to work on a locum basis within a GP surgery in Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming and experienced clinical team in a well-established primary care setting.

Job Responsibility:

Processing and managing repeat prescription requests
Supporting the clinical pharmacist or prescribing team
Handling medication queries from patients, staff, and pharmacies
Updating patient medication records on SystmOne
Managing medication stock and liaising with suppliers where needed
Ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in line with NHS protocols
General administrative duties to support the wider GP practice team

Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
Previous experience in a GP surgery or Primary Care setting
Proficient in SystmOne clinical system
Valid NHS Smart Card
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
