Job Description:

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers a change of pace from traditional retail pharmacy. You will work in a closed-door setting, focusing on clinical accuracy, patient safety, and professional collaboration. Job Responsibility:

  • Clinical Verification: Perform technical and therapeutic checks on prescriptions, ensuring all medication entries and electronic MARs (eMAR) are accurate and meet professional standards
  • Workflow Oversight: Support the dispensing team by answering questions, providing guidance to assistants/technicians, and ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Inventory Control: Manage the safe receipt, recording, and reconciliation of narcotics and controlled substances, as well as general inventory cycle counts
  • Patient Safety: Maintain accurate patient profiles, identify potential drug interactions, and document all clinical interventions in the Kroll system
  • Incident Management: Proactively minimize medication errors
  • investigate and resolve any incidents according to safety protocols
  • Collaboration: Build positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service
  • Admin & Compliance: Assist with third-party billing, adjudications, and end-of-day reporting while strictly adhering to OCP and privacy regulations

Requirements:

  • Must be a Registered Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A)
  • Must be able to work full-time hours and participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours needs
  • Ability to commute to or relocate to Sudbury, ON
