Join GuestReady as our People & Talent Acquisition Associate (Portugal). GuestReady is a leading company in short-term rental and hospitality management, operating across the UK, France, Portugal, Spain, and the UAE. Since 2016, we’ve been redefining the industry through technology, operational excellence, and a strong hospitality mindset. Portugal is our largest market, and we’re now strengthening our local People & Talent capability to support our continued growth. We are looking for a People & Talent Acquisition Associate (Portugal) to act as the local HR and recruitment partner for our Portuguese operations. This role focuses on Talent Acquisition, employee experience, and HR partnering, working closely with local leadership and the global People team. • Build and maintain structured, consistent, and high-quality hiring processes
  • Ensure a strong candidate experience aligned with GuestReady’s employer brand

  • Advise and support managers on employee relations topics and day-to-day people matters
  • Coordinate local performance review cycles
  • Ensure completion, follow-ups, and quality inputs from managers
  • Align outcomes and key information with the payroll and admin team
  • Act as first-line HR support for Portugal
  • Handle employee relations and underperformance cases
  • Partner with legal counsel when required
  • Proactively flag risks, compliance topics, and upcoming labour legislation
  • Support People & Talent projects linked to growth, structure, and operational needs
  • Bring best practices, ideas, and learnings from previous experiences
  • Help anticipate future people challenges as the business scales

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in HR / People roles, with strong exposure to Talent Acquisition
  • Hands-on experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes
  • Degree in Human Resources, Law, Labour Relations, or exposure to Portuguese labour law and employment practices
  • Experience in fast-growing, operational, or scale-up environments
  • Previous experience partnering closely with hiring managers is a strong plus
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to build trust and influence managers
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations and manage expectations
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a strong sense of ownership
  • Pragmatic, business-minded approach to People and hiring decisions
  • Data-driven mindset: comfortable tracking pipelines, hiring progress, and people metrics
  • Curious about technology and AI in People & Talent (ATS, sourcing tools, automation, AI-assisted recruitment)
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • comfortable working in an international, multicultural setting
  • Curious, fast learner with sound judgment and attention to detail
  • Empathetic and patient, with a genuine interest in people and team dynamics
  • Calm under pressure and able to manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity
  • Enjoys working closely with people, managers, and operational teams
  • Collaborative, reliable, and improvement-oriented
What we offer:
  • Hybrid work flexibility (1-2 days/week in Porto)
  • Join a fast-growing company in the booming travel industry
  • Work in a dynamic, multicultural team
  • Opportunities for learning and career development
  • Comprehensive health insurance
  • Meal allowance
