Job Description:

Unit People Planning Specialist role responsible for implementing People Planning strategy, managing the people planning process from forecasting to schedule development, and serving as a Business Partner for all people planning-related matters within the unit.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure People Planning strategy implementation
  • Responsibility for People Planning process from forecasting to schedule development
  • Provide feedback to Country team on strategy
  • Serve as Business Partner for people planning matters
  • Ensure people planning process develops internal talent and enables quality customer experience
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers and P&C to align vacancies with forecasts
  • Train and support unit coworkers on People Planning process
  • Consider compliance with local employment standards, legal, and union requirements
  • Support recruitment process
  • Use problem solving, mediation and counseling skills
  • Partner with Unit P&C Manager and Country People Planning Manager
  • Support Health & Safety compliance and programs

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources or Team Scheduling experience
  • Experience working in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Past experiences in retail industry or similar high-volume customer-focused environment
  • Computer savvy and comfortable with technology
  • Ability to learn new software, systems and concepts
  • Professional and moral integrity when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, communicative and active team-mate
  • Disciplined with effective prioritization and initiative
  • Responsive and flexible business approach

Nice to have:

  • Experience in retail industry or similar high-volume customer-focused environment
  • Leadership skills with entrepreneurship and customer value creation
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate/co-create with others
