Job Description:

A pediatric locum tenens opportunity is available at a critical access hospital in Dickinson, North Dakota. The role requires a physician to cover 24-hour call shifts, 7 days per month, with responsibilities in the Labor and Delivery/Pediatrics Unit and Level II nursery. Duties include attending deliveries, managing pediatric admissions, and performing procedures such as circumcisions and newborn resuscitation. Ideal candidates are available for ongoing coverage in 2026.

Job Responsibility:

  • Attend vaginal deliveries and emergent C-sections
  • Admit/discharge newborns and care for pediatric patients
  • Perform procedures such as circumcisions and lumbar punctures
  • Collaborate with a nursing team, anesthesiologists, OB/GYNs, and respiratory therapists
  • Consult with local pediatricians and NICU physicians as needed

Requirements:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible
  • ND License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP certifications required
  • Clean malpractice record
  • Ability to provide a Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation
