Job Description:

The increasing sophistication and high-performance nature of the Teradyne product line has resulted in a need for a PCB CAD Modeling Engineer who can integrate with hardware engineer design workflows necessary to physically realize complex HV analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit designs. Ensure Teradyne schematic and layout symbol/decal libraries are maintained and effectively utilized support PCB Design tools and processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create Component Logical Symbols and Footprints for all components contained within the Teradyne parts library
  • Develop library structure
  • Configure library tools for effective and accurate part development
  • Work closely with PCB Design teams to resolve DFM/DFT issues

Requirements:

  • Understanding of Board Assembly principles as related to CAD Modeling
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in PCB layout
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Cadence Allegro Cad tools
  • Uses Cadence Allegro CAD tools extensively (Allegro 17.2 and above)
  • IPC Certified (a plus)
  • Acute attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Competence using PCB CAD tools with Cadence experience preferred
  • Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel and web-based applications
  • Good written and communication skills at all levels of an organization
  • Project management skills

Nice to have:

  • Secondary degree in engineering a plus (Assoc – Bachelor)
  • IPC Certified (a plus)
  • Knowledge of Cadence Librarian, and Valor DFM a plus
