We are looking for a skilled Payroll Supervisor/Manager to join a leading provider in the service industry based in Richardson, Texas. This contract position offers a hybrid work arrangement and involves managing biweekly payroll operations for over 600 employees. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Paylocity and a strong understanding of payroll compliance and processes.
Job Responsibility:
Process biweekly payroll for more than 600 employees using Paylocity with precision and efficiency
Ensure all payroll transactions adhere to federal, state, and local regulations
Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports as required
Address employee and management payroll inquiries promptly and professionally
Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and implementing process improvements
Collaborate with other departments to streamline payroll procedures and enhance accuracy
Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Provide training and guidance to team members on payroll systems and practices if needed
Requirements:
Proven experience managing payroll for 600+ employees
Proficiency in Paylocity software is essential
Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processes and compliance regulations
Familiarity with full-cycle payroll operations and best practices
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle payroll inquiries and resolve issues effectively
Nice to have:
Experience in the service industry, particularly heating, air conditioning, electrical, or plumbing, is a plus
Adept at using payroll tools like ADP Workforce Now and managing biweekly payroll cycles
