Payroll Manager – Union Payroll

• Process semi-monthly and weekly Union payroll (prevailing wage) using Insperity and handle monthly Union reporting
• Prepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports to ensure prevailing wage law compliance and support audit defense when needed
• Maintain accurate payroll records (wage rates, hours worked, deductions, and fringe benefits)
• Ensure timely and accurate certified payroll submissions to minimize compliance risks
• Collaborate with the VP of Finance to reconcile payroll discrepancies and assist in financial audits
• Stay current with wage law updates and reporting requirements to maintain compliance
• Coordinate benefits open enrollment annually with our PEO
• Oversee new hire onboarding and terminations
• Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance payroll and HR efficiency

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
• 5+ years of payroll leadership experience
• Union payroll experience required
• Experience with government-funded projects, municipal contracts, or school construction is a plus
• Proficiency in Payroll software (e.g., Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll, ADP) and MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve complex payroll issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality
