Are you a strategic payroll & benefits administrator looking to take the next step in your career? Our client is seeking a high-caliber professional to over see their payroll and benefits administration. If you are a cross-border expert with hands-on experience managing both US and Canadian payroll, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support payroll data input and validation for Canada and the USA using ADP and Gusto
  • Prepare and validate payroll inputs for the human resources team, including new hires, compensation changes, leaves, and bonuses
  • Ensure all payroll inputs are accurate, complete, and delivered on time for Finance processing each cycle
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professional discretion and empathy
  • Maintain meticulous payroll records and documentation to support internal compliance and external audits
  • Administer approved compensation changes related to salary reviews, promotions, and market adjustments
  • Support annual compensation cycles by preparing materials and tracking approvals across human resources and Finance
  • Manage benefits and perks programs, including GroupSource, MyHSA, Medcan, and Gusto Benefits (Cigna, Principal)
  • Coordinate employee enrollments, terminations, and premium deduction forecasts
  • Deliver benefits onboarding and education sessions for employees across North America
  • Administer leave-related processes, including parental, sick, and statutory leaves, ensuring accurate reflection in payroll
  • Coordinate workplace accommodations and disability applications (including USA maternity leave through Principal)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Payroll & Benefits Administrator
  • Proven experience managing both US and Canadian payroll (Cross-border experience is mandatory)
  • Hands-on experience with ADP, Gusto, or equivalent cloud-based payroll platforms
  • Solid understanding of benefits administration (Health, Dental, 401K/RRSP, and HSA)
  • Experience managing leaves of absence and statutory disability applications
  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel for data reconciliation and forecasting
