We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join a government organization in Hampton, Virginia. Job Responsibility:
Process payroll for over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
Manage payroll data entry, including new employee information, payroll adjustments, and tax details
Handle timekeeping records and verify employee hours for payroll consistency
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies
Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions and ensure proper documentation
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements
Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and summaries for management
Identify and resolve payroll issues promptly to minimize disruptions
Support audits and reviews related to payroll operations
Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration or timekeeping
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Proficiency in managing full-cycle payroll processes
Ability to handle payroll for large organizations with over 500 employees
Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Strong problem-solving abilities to address payroll discrepancies
Experience working in a government or similar organizational setting is preferred
