The position involves reviewing scheduled studies, ensuring proper scheduling based on referrals, verifying paperwork, completing insurance processes, confirming clinical documentation, coordinating with staff, assisting with patient communications, and performing other necessary duties for efficient operation.
Job Responsibility:
Review scheduled studies in advance of patient visits to ensure proper study scheduling based on referral
Verify all required paperwork/documentation is in the system and complete insurance verification, financial clearance, and prior authorization
Confirm completion of clinical documentation, lab results, medical form clearance, and medication cessation for exams requiring such
Coordinate with technologists and specialists, communicating any appointment status changes or patient needs/limitations
Assist with appointment confirmations, patient communications, and contacting referring physician offices as needed
Coordinate VIP appointments and assist with overflow scheduling calls
Perform other job-related duties as necessary for the efficient operation
Requirements:
Previous experience as at least 1 year
With experience as an Patient Service Coordinator or in a similar capacity
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10 and CPT coding and procedures (preferably)
Ability to type at least 40 wpm
The ability to multi-task consistently and work in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience as a medical receptionist/front desk or related experience
