Job Description:

Prepare and serve high-quality pastries by following recipes and meeting quality standards. Perform a variety of kitchen duties including ingredient preparation, sanitation compliance, and monitoring food quality. Work collaboratively with a team in a professional and supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods
follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures
monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
wash and disinfect kitchen area
set up and break down work station
comply with sanitation and cleaning procedures
check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food
report issues to management
follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security
complete safety training and certifications
develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team to reach common goals.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
less than 1-year related work experience
ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures.
