Job Description:

W Brisbane is hiring a Pastry Chef de Partie. The role involves ensuring quality, consistency, and production across pastry items while leading a talented pastry team to deliver high-quality outputs. Job Responsibility:

Delivering high-quality pastry items
supporting both the front and back of house teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences
managing shift duties and ensuring smooth kitchen operations
contributing to achieving financial goals

Requirements:

Demonstrates creativity and precision in pastry preparation while leading and inspiring the Pastry team
oversees the preparation, production, and presentation of all pastry and dessert items, ensuring they meet prescribed recipes and quality standards
supervises the pastry section during shifts and ensures all work is carried out in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
maintains proper food handling, preparation, and storage practices
ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g. HACCP)
leads and mentors the pastry team, managing shift duties and ensuring smooth kitchen operations
encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
ensures and maintains the productivity level of Talent
contributes to achieving financial goals by managing pastry inventory, minimizing waste, and ensuring cost control
