Elementa Support Services is proud to partner with a respected secondary academy in Fishponds, Bristol, to recruit a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker for an 8-week contract starting in February. This is an opportunity for experienced support staff with a background in pastoral care and safeguarding to make a positive impact within a vibrant educational environment. As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for students. You will provide essential pastoral care, contributing to students' emotional well-being and behaviour management, ensuring they have the support needed to thrive academically and socially.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting students on a day-to-day basis, fostering a positive and inclusive environment
  • Implementing safeguarding procedures in line with school policies
  • Building strong relationships with students, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Monitoring and managing student behaviour, attendance and wellbeing
  • Assisting with home visits

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting students in an educational setting, particularly in pastoral roles
  • Background in safeguarding, student support, or behaviour management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and empathetic approach to student welfare
  • Full UK driving licence
