Job Description:

Join our team as a Paste Fill Crew Member at Olympic Dam - a hands on opportunity to be part of a dynamic underground operation. This is a FIFO role with a 14 days on and 14 days off roster and will have a 12 months Fixed Term Contract.

Job Responsibility:

  • Installation of Paste Reticulation and associated equipment
  • Operation of underground mobile plant including light vehicles, IT's and flatbed trucks
  • Paste Wall Construction
  • Operation of Hand-Held Rock drills
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure proper operation and adherence to safety protocols
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions, promoting a culture of safety and accountability among team members
  • Working in various capacities both underground and on the surface
  • Other duties as directed by the Leading Hand or Pastefill Coordinator

Requirements:

  • Experience underground or in a similar role is preferred
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a plant operating environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Current police clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Strong work ethic and punctual
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Smoke free and clean-shaven site
