We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Kansas City, Kansas. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing financial records and ensuring the accuracy of all bookkeeping activities. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and proficiency in QuickBooks.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including general ledger entries
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure proper balance and accuracy
Prepare and file payroll, federal, and local tax reports in compliance with regulations
Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal use
Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and correct payments
Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial transactions
Collaborate with external parties, such as auditors and tax authorities, as needed
Implement and maintain bookkeeping best practices to optimize efficiency
Utilize QuickBooks software to streamline and manage accounting tasks
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of its features
Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Familiarity with federal, local, and payroll tax regulations
Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and reports
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills to interact with team members and external parties
