A respected law firm in the South Bay is seeking a skilled Paralegal to join their team on a contract-to-hire or long-term contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to support attorneys in managing a diverse civil litigation or transactional caseload while working in a collaborative, professional environment. The firm handles matters including civil litigation, personal injury, consumer law, and transactional matters, depending on the team assignment. This position offers hybrid flexibility (2–3 days onsite in the South Bay, remainder remote).
Job Responsibility:
draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, and calendaring deadlines
maintain organized case files and track key litigation or transactional deadlines
conduct legal research and investigation as needed
coordinate communications between attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel
Requirements:
3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in civil litigation or transactional matters
familiarity with California court rules and procedures
strong organizational skills and attention to detail
proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software
