We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Dallas, Texas, on a Contract to permanent basis. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in litigation and trial support, particularly within financial services, complex plaintiff litigation, and bankruptcy cases. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess advanced technical skills to support attorneys effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other legal professionals to manage case-related tasks and ensure project goals are met
Draft, revise, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories, in compliance with court procedures
Conduct thorough research and analysis of statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal articles, providing detailed summaries and reports
Interview clients and witnesses, preparing comprehensive statements and summaries to assist in case development
Organize, maintain, and retrieve case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, and other trial-related materials
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including drafting trial documents, coordinating schedules, and attending hearings when required
Manage calendaring and deadlines to ensure timely filings and compliance with court requirements
Utilize software tools such as Office 365 Suite, Trial Director, and Adobe, as well as preferred systems like Clio, NetDocuments, and Slack, to streamline case management
Maintain accurate records of billable hours and case-related expenses
Support attorneys in e-filing processes at federal, state, and county levels.
Requirements:
Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Certification as a Paralegal is mandatory
Proven experience in discovery, civil litigation, and trial preparation
Proficiency in using case management and litigation software such as Clio, NetDocuments, and Trial Director
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing case files and deadlines
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, witnesses, and legal professionals
Advanced proficiency in Office 365 Suite, including Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
