Job Description:

Join our team as an experienced Painter Blasters on the Perdaman Project in Karratha. We are looking for someone with 4+ years' hands on experience in construction environments. This position offers a 20:8 roster (20 days on, 8 days off) with Perth as the point of hire.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform abrasive blasting (sand, grit, shot, or other media) to remove rust, scale, paint, and contaminant
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, sanding, and priming as required
  • Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers
  • Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications
  • Inspect surfaces before and after blasting and painting to ensure quality standards are met
  • Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment
  • Follow job specifications, blueprints, and coating system requirements
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

  • A relevant Trade Certificate and Construction White/Blue Card
  • Working at Heights, High Risk Work License (EWP), Confined Space and Gas test Atmospheres
  • Ability to operate blasting equipment, spray guns, and air compressors
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Hold a current Australian Driver's License
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
  • Must have full working rights in Australia

Nice to have:

Previous experience working FIFO/ Mining/ Construction or Project based environments will be highly regarded
