Packer

• Prepare cardboard cartons/trays for product packing by folding, taping, sorting, and labeling
• Perform visual inspections of final product packaging for integrity
• Fill cartons/displays based on packaging specs
• Stack correct number of cartons/trays on pallets/skids
• Clear loose product from work area and discard defective items
• Assist with product rework
• Practice and adhere to safety and hygiene guidelines
• Keep work area clean and adhere to 5S protocols
• Perform sanitation tasks as directed
• Prepare line for startup and assist with equipment changeovers
• May operate tray making and/or stapling machines
• Report issues to appropriate personnel
• Perform other duties as required

• High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Physical ability to perform job duties including continuous standing, walking, using hands, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to work in an environment with moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, caustic chemicals, and loud noise
