Job Description:

As a data analyst, you will play a key role in unlocking the power of data across the organisation, with an initial focus on supporting the fundraising team. Working closely with stakeholders you will work to incorporate data from multiple data sources to deliver clear, actionable insights and automated reporting to identify trends, measure performance, and interpret key metrics with the ultimate aim of facilitating informed decision-making.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with stakeholders to identify the main sources of information both within the organisation and via third party tools
  • Assist staff in identifying pertinent metrics, KPIs and data measures
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports to track campaign effectiveness, donor behaviour, retention, and income trends across individual a range of giving
  • Identify opportunities, risks, and areas for optimisation using predictive analysis and segmentation techniques
  • Work across multiple systems and data sources (e.g. CRM, digital platforms, financial account systems, filed systems) to collate and analyse complex data
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports
  • Translate complex data findings into accessible and actionable insights for nontechnical stakeholders
  • Work closely with technical and development stakeholders to ensure data is collected at every stage
  • Stay up-to-date with data analytics tools, technologies, and best practices relevant to the non-profit and fundraising sectors

Requirements:

  • Current eligibility to work within the United Kingdom
  • A valid Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate (issued within the last year) OR Undertake to provide full cooperation for Muslim Hands to perform a DBS Check at the required level appropriate for the role
  • Proven experience as a business or data analyst
  • A strong background in statistical and analytics methodologies
  • Strong proficiency with data analysis tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in problem-solving

Nice to have:

  • Degree level qualification in a related subject highly preferred
  • Previous non-profit experience desirable but not essential
