Job Responsibility:

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases and related components
  • Apply Oracle patches and security updates to ensure system stability and compliance
  • Manage database backup, recovery, and high‑availability processes
  • Monitor database performance, capacity, and system health
  • Perform database performance tuning, analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Proactively resolve performance, availability, and incident alerts
  • Maintain detailed documentation for database configurations, procedures, and releases
  • Provide weekend on‑call and out‑of‑hours production support
  • Provide system support across databases, operating systems, network interfaces, storage, servers, and associated hardware
  • Review, verify, and approve database upgrade plans
  • recommend structural enhancements and data access tools for business users
  • Approve and coordinate scheduled background jobs, logs, and recovery backups with stakeholders and end users
  • Improve database access, maintenance, backup procedures, access controls, and version management processes
  • Act as a Senior Systems Administrator for enterprise applications, addressing system issues and enhancing functionality
  • Provide day‑to‑day and advanced end‑user support for CRM and enterprise applications across the organization
  • Evaluate system improvement recommendations and prioritize enhancements for availability, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, information security, and vendor teams to recommend and deploy operating environment changes
  • Publish and manage public documentation including build, release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
  • Work with application teams, vendors, infrastructure, and IT solutions teams to document operating environment requirements
  • Assist in defining environment requirements, test cases, and action plans for new installations and migrations
  • Participate weekly in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings as an acting member
  • Create and refine reports, dashboards, and monitoring processes to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Support users and stakeholders with analytics, reporting design, and data interpretation
  • Develop and maintain training materials
  • coordinate and conduct user training sessions
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, Audit, Benefits, Legal, business stakeholders, and vendors to gather requirements, define specifications, troubleshoot issues, and deliver initiatives
  • Use advanced reporting tools to design and monitor cross‑process data integrations and resolve process misalignments
  • Support weekend on call Rota (1 every 7-8 weeks) and out of hours projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience with Oracle RAC installation and support
  • Minimum 7 years of Oracle database experience
  • Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate (preferred)
