The Operator I, Lettershop is vital in the production and mailing of direct mail campaigns. Duties may include printing, folding, inserting, addressing, and sorting letters, postcards, brochures, or other marketing materials. Ensuring that the direct mail pieces are accurately assembled and processed according to specifications and postal regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Folding, assembly, inserting, packaging, sorting, and mailing
Operation of mail production equipment while paying attention to details and deadlines
Set up and adjust equipment for production runs independently
Troubleshooting of mailing, sorting, folding, inserting equipment
Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and identify any deviations
Work with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and resolve any issues
Requirements:
Experience working in a detail oriented and deadline driven environment
Experience working in a Direct Mail/Lettershop and/or Printing environment
Ability to identify if improper machine operation and make basic adjustments
Ability to lift loads up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand on feet at least 8 hours per shift
Acquire expertise in USPS postal regulations (knowledge or experience preferred)
Work history of longevity, excellent attendance and responsibility (no job hoppers)
Ability to read and understand job tickets, maintain and document production process
Ability to use powered material handling equipment and stack pallets
Flexibility to work extended/different shifts during peak seasons
Position requires High School/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience
