This is a high visibility and impact strategy and business operations role to shape and grow Uber’s financial services business with strong initiatives mapped to Uber’s Global Commerce strategy in the Asia Pacific region. The portfolio of products includes co-branded credit cards, pay-later solutions, and digital wallet offerings tailored to diverse APAC markets.
Job Responsibility:
Own the end-to-end development and lifecycle management of new spender financial products across APAC
Build robust business cases informed by market and financial analysis
Lead discovery through stakeholder interviews, partner discussions, and voice-of-customer research
Develop detailed cost models, forecasts, and investment plans
Drive end-to-end sourcing process including RFI/RFP development, partner evaluation, commercial negotiations, and governance approvals
Work closely with legal, risk, compliance, and regional teams to meet local regulatory requirements
Define and execute go-to-market and marketing strategies
Establish feedback loops to measure adoption, engagement, and satisfaction
Lead post-launch governance to monitor performance, manage partners, mitigate risk, and iterate on product features and customer experience
Requirements:
7+ years experience within banking, e-commerce and/or consulting in strategy or operations
Deep knowledge in issuing and cards preferred
Self-starter with high adaptability to change and ability to execute quickly
High-energy and motivational leader
Advanced collaboration and influencing skills
Experience navigating a global matrix organisation
Passion for solving ambiguous and complex problems

Ability to use data to establish priorities and develop strategy
Based in Tokyo, Japan with flexibility to travel when required across geographies
