Job Responsibility:

  • Direct and manage the allocation, utilisation, and deployment of production resources to ensure the disciplined execution of the yard plan
  • Develop, implement, and manage process, systems and procedures that will eliminate above rail factors within the cycle which impact on supply chain performance and the attainment of the daily schedule
  • Develop and maintain the knowledge, skills and attributes of self and the team and ensure the team has clear, current, and measurable goals and objectives aligned to the plan and business targets
  • Provide advice, coaching and support to direct operational employees that assists in achieving performance objectives, promote high performance teams and support continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure that all business activities and employees within the position’s area of control comply with all relevant legislative/statutory obligations and company policies, standards, and procedures

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in leading, coaching, and motivating teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence others
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and confident decision-making
  • Competence with digital tools and the Microsoft Office suite
  • A Certificate IV/Diploma in Frontline Management or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience in logistics, heavy industry, or yard operations will be highly regarded
