Associates or BS preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude
Familiarity with hand tools
Experience with computer hardware and datacenters preferred

Job Responsibility

Perform repair and maintenance activities on HPC compute, network, and storage hardware
Review tickets for hardware actions needed and claim for action
Interact with ticket system to document actions taken and pass ticket to next step
Complete training on specialized compute hardware, network, and storage components
Read system documentation and diagrams to identify specified components within system
Collaborate with team members using face-to-face, phone, and online communication including email, Teams, and Slack
Perform hardware actions, e.g. component replacement from spares
Operate hand tools and low-power tools (e.g. battery power screwdriver)
Select proper tools and maintain tools in organized way on site
Lift and move parts and equipment up to 50 lbs individually and up to 75 lbs with another person

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience or related area of study
without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years in total)
US Citizenship required
on-site daily work required
ability to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidence
strong knowledge in at least three major technology areas
ability to apply technology and consulting to solve a client business problem
possesses advanced level of business, technical, or functional knowledge
ability to conduct/lead oral status/technical interchange meetings with clients on small to medium sized engagements
able to translate technical details into concise and easy to understand written form

Job Responsibility

Responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design
occasionally responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions
often leads small to medium technical projects
works with and under the direction of the Project/Technical Manager and with customer-nominated representatives
liaises with Solutions Architect as appropriate
provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments
provides technical leadership on specific integration activities that are part of an engagement
contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learnings are documented and shared
demonstrates execution of the company strategy.

Gather data, perform analysis, and escalate problems to higher-level product support groups and appropriate management when necessary to ensure timely resolution of system or customer issues
Provide solutions and implement repair or workarounds when possible, fully documenting steps taken when required
Manage software issues for both the system and user applications, submitting and tracking bugs as required
Answer customer inquiries concerning system software versions, product lifecycles, new releases, and third-party applications.
