Job Description:

Benesch is seeking to hire a Technical Manager to join the Roadway Design team in Raleigh. In this position, you'll hold a first-level technical management position with guidance from senior leadership. This role entails supervising staff, mentoring their technical skills, and contributing to project management on NCDOT projects and beyond.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide guidance and direction in technical project elements
  • Communicate technical progress and issues to Project Managers
  • Train and mentor staff
  • Perform, review, and manage technical analyses and designs
  • Assist with business development and proposal development
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on projects
  • Share knowledge to enhance organizational learning and performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Professional Engineering license in NC
  • Previous NCDOT project experience and understanding of NCDOT processes and procedures preferred
  • Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills to interface with stakeholders
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
