An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Offshore WTG Commissioning Manager to join a major offshore wind project on the OEM side, supporting turbine commissioning activities from an SOV. The role sits within a large, multi-phase offshore wind programme and will play a critical part in supervising and coordinating all offshore commissioning activities within the SOV scope, reporting directly into the Commissioning Project Manager.
Job Responsibility:
Overall supervision of offshore WTG commissioning activities within SOV scope
Maintain and support the commissioning strategy, plan, and schedule
Prepare daily status reports for commissioning management and stakeholders
Coordinate with installation, marine, and associated works contractors, particularly during energisation and transition from installation to commissioning
Direct leadership and supervision of all offshore commissioning teams
Support energisation, test runs, TOC updates, and documentation
Ensure effective handover between rotations
Manage quality priorities onboard and support quality inspectors
Maintain a strong EHS culture, including toolbox talks and offshore briefings
Manage cabin planning, onboard inductions, startup briefs, and offboarding meetings
Support marine operations, ERP, safety procedures, and customer updates
Maintain 3-day and 7-day look-ahead planning
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Strong electrical commissioning background, including HV systems
Proven offshore WTG commissioning experience
Electrical project management experience
Experience working offshore from SOVs
Excellent leadership and people management capability offshore
Strong QHSE awareness
Comfortable working with procedures, schematics, and as-built drawings
Competent with commissioning documentation, test plans, and checklists
