We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Office Assistant to join our client in the west metro, Minnesota area. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the seamless operation of office activities while gaining valuable experience in administrative support. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring strong organizational skills to the role.
Job Responsibility:
Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring the workplace remains organized and functional
monitor office supplies inventory, coordinating with vendors to ensure timely replenishment
maintain accurate records of IT equipment and coordinate with teams for repairs, upgrades, and replacements
assist in onboarding and offboarding processes by preparing necessary IT tools for employees
oversee maintenance schedules and vendor coordination
provide administrative support by scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and organizing events
handle incoming and outgoing mail, courier arrangements, and general correspondence
assist in planning team-building activities and corporate events to promote a positive work environment
ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards related to office operations
troubleshoot minor IT issues and escalate complex problems to the appropriate support teams
Requirements:
Previous experience in administrative roles or office management is preferred
proficiency in Microsoft Word and other computer programs relevant to administrative tasks
strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service
ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail under pressure
familiarity with inventory management software and basic IT troubleshooting
experience with billing functions, payroll, and clerical duties is a plus
collaborative team player with adaptability to fast-paced environments
strong organizational skills paired with the ability to maintain accurate records
