This position centres on timely, high-quality Occupational Therapy input within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) across three key areas: Neuro-Rehabilitation (primary focus); Health of Older Persons; Orthopaedics (including amputee rehabilitation).
Job Responsibility:
Functional assessment
Intervention planning
Complex discharge decision-making as part of a collaborative MDT
Contribute to ongoing service projects, including: Reviewing models of care
Patient-centred goal setting
Whakawhanaungatanga approaches to patient and whānau hui
Inter-Professional Practice models
Requirements:
Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and current APC
Strong experience in rehabilitation, ideally in neuro, orthopaedics, or older adults
Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Ability to work confidently within an inter-professional practice model
High levels of motivation, initiative, and adaptability
Understanding of Māori and Pacific health needs, and commitment to reducing inequities
Current full driver’s licence
