This position will be based in our St. John's office with possible business trips to USA (Rhode Island).

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for defining O&M scope, monitoring progress of O&M plans, and ensuring O&M packages are ready for acceptance post-commissioning
  • Champion and promote environmental, health, safety, and quality management within O&M activities
  • Define scope and deliverables for O&M packages in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Monitor progress of O&M plans/ work instructions/manuals, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met
  • Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure seamless handover and readiness of O&M packages
  • Support project controls, including change management, procurement, contract management, cost control, scheduling, and risk management for O&M scope
  • Liaise with operations, engineering, and corporate functions to ensure alignment and support
  • Represent client interests and interpret requirements for O&M deliverables
  • Conduct post-acceptance evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement
  • Drive a safety culture and compliance with HSSE policies throughout O&M activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical diploma or equivalent operational experience
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in O&M, engineering, or construction environments
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Experience in multi-discipline projects and ability to prioritize critical issues
  • Proficient in management of change (MOC) processes and stakeholder interfacing
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with O&M planning tools/software

Nice to have:

  • Current registration with PEGNL as a P.Eng (or equivalent) is an asset
  • PMP designation is an asset
