Nomad Electric is seeking a dedicated and skilled O&M Manager for our photovoltaic farm projects in the Brandenburg area initially and beyond. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in building Nomad Electric presence on the local market and successful realization of our solar projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and scale Nomad Electric’s German O&M operations, with strong support from HQ
Ensure compliance with German regulatory requirements for operating electrical installations
Build and manage a local team of Field Service Technicians and Engineers
Implement high-quality O&M procedures and continuous improvement practices
Full responsibility for the safe and compliant operation of assigned PV and BESS plants
Execution and supervision of preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Conduct and oversee electrical measurements, thermography, inspections, and functional testing
Diagnose system failures and lead rapid troubleshooting to maintain maximum system availability
Ensure correct documentation of all works in line with German technical and safety norms
Act as, or be qualified to act as, the Anlagenverantwortlicher (AV) for electrical systems according to DIN VDE 0105-100
Ensure safe operation, switching, access control, and work permits on electrical installations
Coordinate with external parties and oversee safe execution of electrical tasks under the Arbeitsverantwortlicher (AAV) framework
Act as the main point of contact with German DSOs/TSOs regarding operational issues, outages, switching operations, and curtailments
Execute responsibilities related to grid compliance, Redispatch 2.0 communication, and operational reporting
Support tender preparations, contract assessments, and subcontractor coordination
Lead the emergency and fault-response strategy with defined reaction times
Maintain readiness for critical interventions to preserve plant availability and performance KPIs
Requirements:
Elektrofachkraft (EFK) or gleichwertige Qualifikation allowing independent work on low- and medium-voltage systems
Certification or eligibility to act as Anlagenverantwortlicher (AV) under DIN VDE 0105-100
Valid training in: DGUV Vorschrift 3
Schaltberechtigung (Switching Authorization) for LV/MV systems (preferred)
Erste Hilfe / First Aid and Arbeitsschutz training
Knowledge of BetrSichV, TRBS 1201, and VDE 0126/AR-N 4105/4110 requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in operating or maintaining utility-scale PV plants, on-shore wind farms, BESS, or industrial electrical installations
Experience leading teams of technicians or engineers
Strong understanding of PV inverters, LV/MV substations, SCADA systems, and grid-connected renewable assets
Experience in troubleshooting, field diagnostics, and performance optimization
German: Professional level (B2 or higher)
English: Advanced
