Job Description:

Night Full Time TICU Nurse Shift Manager. The Trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a dynamic and specialized eight-bed unit dedicated to the comprehensive treatment and management of a diverse range of trauma-related injuries. Our highly skilled and compassionate staff is committed to delivering superior, patient-centered care to every individual entrusted to our expertise.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift
  • Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level
  • Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care
  • Institutes emergency procedures as necessary
  • Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them
  • Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (e.g., ADN)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical (critical care) experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Current CA RN licensure
  • Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
  • Current AHA PALS or obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Current Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification or obtained within 12 months of hire

Nice to have:

  • Current Bachelors in nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field preferred
  • Completion of Bachelors in nursing (BSN) or related field within 3 years of hire
