Job Responsibility:

  • Designing, analyzing, and optimizing nuclear reactor systems and components
  • Monitoring reactor performance and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Conducting neutronic analysis to support reactor design, optimization, and operation (criticality analysis, burnup calculation, cross sections calculation, flux evaluation, dose calculation)
  • Working with licensing and regulatory agencies to maintain compliance with the NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) and other relevant regulations
  • Participating in reactor fuel management, including core design and fuel cycle analysis
  • Assisting in the development of new reactor technologies and improvements to existing designs
  • Developing shielding calculations and assessing the effectiveness of radiation barriers
  • Investigating radiation incidents, performing dose reconstructions, and recommending corrective actions
  • Conducting risk assessments and failure mode analysis for reactor components
  • Providing technical support and training to operators and other personnel
  • Writing reports, documentation, and technical proposals related to reactor operations and design

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of reactor physics
  • Familiarity with nuclear reactor simulation software (e.g., SERPENT, MCNP, SCALE, PARCS, PHYSICS)
  • Understanding of nuclear regulatory requirements and safety protocols
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot reactor systems using technical data
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with teams and regulatory bodies
