ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field
Valid Vermont state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Minimum of 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine preferred (new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered)
Strong technical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and patient-care skills

Job Responsibility

Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety guidelines
Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners
Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure safety and comfort
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and radiation safety regulations
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to analyze imaging results
Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials
Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and industry best practices

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field from an accredited institution

Graduate of a recognized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) training program and Certified by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is an asset
