Job Description:

As the NSW Contract Manager, you’ll lead daily operations, ensure safety and compliance, manage site risks, and support your team and drivers. You’ll also be responsible for controlling costs and meeting key financial targets.

Job Responsibility:

  • Direct transport operations to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives
  • Provide transportation and service rates
  • Ensure supply for any contracts for transportation, distribution, or logistics services
  • Analyse the financial impact of proposed logistics changes
  • Analyse financial records to improve efficiency
  • Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency
  • Oversee all job allocations
  • Ensure sufficient contractor resources to match distribution needs
  • Liaise with clients on any issues, providing relevant advice and offering solutions and information in a timely professional manner
  • Monitor & record driver efficiency, incidents, poor and good performance
  • Source and evaluate Contractors as required for client's specific requirements and to support volume spikes
  • Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to all reports
  • Provide motivation to all administration and despatch staff and contractor drivers
  • Achieve individual budgeted targets to ensure required gross profit
  • Maintain individual contractor margins
  • Ensure weekly reports on make-up payments to individual contractors are provided to directors

  • Prepare documentation and tools required to assist site team and Senior Management with the delivery of each project
  • Manage drawing register for all live projects to ensure accuracy
  • Continually monitor performance of the department and implement appropriate strategies for improvement
