Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.
Job Responsibility:
Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects and performs maintenance on customer aircraft
Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
Be able to train, coach and support other employees
Perform complete engine runs as required
Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems
Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks, and determine that relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard
Release maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his supervision for which he/she is trained and authorized
Sign off base maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his/her supervision, in support of Certifying Staff Category C
Perform maintenance at off-site locations
Assist when providing time estimates
Requirements:
Hold an UK CAA & EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License: B1 and/or B2 and/or C
Type-rated on relevant Bombardier Business Aircraft Type including Challenger 300’s, Challenger 600’s and Global or aircraft
Up to date basic knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66
Basic knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations
Involved in at least 6 months of actual relevant aircraft or component maintenance experience in any consecutive 2-year period
Knowledge on, and practicing of, human factors, human performance and limitations
Knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL when relevant
Experience working during last two years on at least one aircraft type for each license (sub)category
Current on all training requirements (recurrent/continuation training)
Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings
Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task and / or aircraft status
Highly proficient in using standard tools, special tools and operate ground support equipment
Ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and to notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards
Ability to use information systems (computer skills)
