ITC is a Woman Owned Small Business delivering exceptional consultation to the U.S. Government in Systems/Software Engineering, Cybersecurity Solutions, Mission Operations/INTEL Analysis, and Management Services in order to enable our customers to solve the most challenging problems. With continued growth comes opportunity, and we are currently searching for a Top-Secret SCI with polygraph-cleared Expert-level Network Systems Engineer.

Job Responsibility:

  • Expert Network Engineers plan and develop telecommunications solutions involving computer and communications equipment
  • They analyze network alternatives and develop recommendations for improvements
  • Analyzes, designs, tests, and evaluates network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Internet, intranet, satellite, and other data communications systems
  • Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning
  • Oversees the work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level contractor Network Systems Engineers

Requirements:

  • TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or 18+ years Expert level experience as a Network Systems Engineer
  • Expert-level working experience (18+ years) in cloud-based systems architecting
  • Network technology course/certification in TCP/IP with applied understanding of the following: Roles of devices in TCP/IP network, Details of IP, ARP, TCP, ICMP and UDP, Functions of FTP, HTTP, Telnet and other applications of TCP/IP, Use of Voice over IP or VoIP, email messaging and multicasting, Troubleshooting for TCP/IP issues at each network layer

Nice to have:

  • Network technology course/certification in one or more areas: Configuring TCP/IP on server computers, Managing and troubleshooting DNS and DHCP, Installing and configuring network and software infrastructure, Configuring and managing device routing and remote access, Monitoring and maintain network infrastructure
  • Completion of a specialized wireless network course and/or certification

Mission Systems require engineering support for any connection that leaves a facility, connects to DISA, or 21 CS (OL-S) owned communications connection/distribution hub owned and controlled by the 21 CS (OL-S)
  • Testing is only required to determine if 21 CS (OL-S) communications transport or systems equipment is functional and in good use or if it should be upgraded, replaced, or removed. All testing equipment, process, and procedures for testing will be Government furnished. Engineering support shall provide new techniques, practices, procedures, including suggestions for enhanced testing equipment to the 21 CS (OL-S)
  • Documentation includes current and future communications systems capturing all physical topologies and architecture within either or both the Phoenix Database and Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS) Visualization Component (CVC). The Phoenix Database is a Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) product. The Phoenix Database and CVC tool are repositories of Communications and Information System and Installation Records (CSIRs) used as a communications planning tool. Engineers will be required to obtain access to both systems via Phoenix request Memorandum and Department of Defense DoD Form 2875, System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) that will be provided by the Government
  • Provides problem analysis, technical assessments and identify potential operational impacts to the 21 CS (OL-S) Government personnel
  • Ensures that all designed and developed technical solutions integrate with local, Air Force and DoD architectures
  • Identifies, documents and digitally stores architectural and infrastructure changes as they occur
