This Network Engineer will provide advanced technical support for the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-level unclassified and classified network infrastructure at HQ PACAF. This position focuses on hands-on engineering support, Tier 3 diagnostics, and optimizing the performance of a mission-critical communications environment in accordance with DoD and PACAF.
Job Responsibility:
Provide Tier 3 network engineering support and troubleshooting for O&M operations across PACAF networks (NIPR/SIPR/Coalition)
Support SDP development in coordination with the lead Network Architect and A6 stakeholders
Support implementation and sustainment of routing, switching, segmentation, firewalls, and QoS configurations
Conduct change management planning, including technical implementation procedures and risk assessments
Execute network upgrades and integration of hardware/software solutions
Perform diagnostics for complex network service issues
Ensure RMF-aligned security integration across all changes
Coordinate with PACAF/A6 and stakeholders for validation
Survey and assess facilities for potential upgrades
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, information systems, or related discipline from an accredited institution
Minimum of 8+ years of senior-level network engineering experience designing and implementing secure, scalable DoD networks
