Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Naval Architect with a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in new vessel design development. The candidate will provide functional design expertise for various new construction programs for Government, Unmanned, and Commercial customers. The role includes contributing to proposal writing efforts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide functional design expertise for various new construction programs
  • Develop designs for new vessels, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Perform structural design and stability analysis
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders within the business development organization
  • Contribute to proposal writing efforts
  • Manage multiple projects and balance schedules effectively in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in new vessel design development for marine crafts such as patrol vessels, windfarm support vessels, offshore supply vessels, tugs, and barges
  • Proficiency in structural design and stability analysis
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with FEA, GHS, and Rhino software
  • Familiarity with ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, IMO, and other applicable regulations

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with auxiliary systems design is desirable
  • Proposal writing experience is a benefit
