Job Description:

In this role, you will work closely with the Manager to grow the Land Development and Municipal Engineering practice in the region, while providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff. You will oversee design and project execution for land development and municipal infrastructure projects, including site developments, municipal upgrades, water resources, watermain and sewage collection rehabilitation, and road design.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with team members to complete, oversee, and manage design and project delivery for land development and municipal infrastructure projects
  • Actively participate in the design process and provide technical direction to the design team
  • Lead multi-disciplinary project teams on major infrastructure projects
  • Liaise with municipal, utility, and approval agencies
  • Conduct site inspections as required
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications
  • Apply proven design expertise across conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs
  • Contribute to RFPs, bids, and proposal documents
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in municipal infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients
  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Alberta
  • Technologist qualifications may be considered if coupled with professional certification and the ability to stamp documents
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
  • Knowledge of municipal standards, guidelines, and approval processes
  • Demonstrated project management experience on municipal and/or private sector projects
  • Experience with stormwater, sewer, watermain, and road design
  • Familiarity with local planning and approval processes
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience working with southern Alberta municipalities and/or within a mountain setting is an asset
