Job Description:

Are you an engineer who loves solving problems, working with your hands, and keeping things running like clockwork? I am on the lookout for for a Multi-Skilled Engineer Electrically Biased to join the team. It's a busy, challenging environment-but if you like variety, hands-on work this is for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Keeping our production lines moving by maintaining and fixing equipment
  • Getting stuck into electrical troubleshooting, fault finding, and occasional mechanical fixes
  • Jumping on breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and improvement projects
  • Working with great people who care about the job and each other

Requirements:

  • Electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)
  • Experience in a food, drink, or FMCG environment is a big plus
  • Good problem-solving skills and a cool head under pressure
  • A positive, can-do approach and a willingness to muck in

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and Breakdown/Reactive Maintenance of Plant and Equipment
  • Ensure the Engineering maintenance carried out in line with the current schedule and effective and efficient corrective action is taken
  • Quick and effective response to breakdowns, where possible identifying root cause and suggesting possible improvements to prevent further breakdowns occurring
  • Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to Management and work with the operations department to minimise plant disruption
  • Record and identify spare parts that have been used through CMMS and to Engineering Manager
  • Follow good engineering standards and good hygiene practice for the department across the whole site
  • Ensure Maintenance and Engineering practices are audit complaint
  • Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety and environmental guidelines reporting any issues
  • Ensure compliance through regular process weigher and Liquid meter calibrations (weights and measures Act)
  • Proficient in engineering operations whilst working in hazardous environments (Confined Space Entry, Hot working in confined spaces, Hot working, WAH)
