We’re looking for a proactive, hands‑on Multiskilled Engineer with strong electrical, mechanical and instrumentation capability. You’ll play a key role in keeping the site running safely, reliably and efficiently. You’ll mainly be based at Oceans Park in Wallasey, with occasional travel to other sites. Standard hours: 08:00–16:00, Monday–Friday, with some flexibility for out‑of‑hours support.
Job Responsibility:
Delivering planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems
Supporting site infrastructure, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects
Working safely on systems up to 415v, with awareness of higher‑voltage or pressure systems
Commissioning, calibrating, validating and maintaining equipment, machinery and field devices
Working with electrical control systems, solenoids, contactors, trips, isolators and utilities (chillers, compressors, boilers)
Mechanical work involving pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, drives, gearboxes, agitators, pipework, pressure systems and fabrication support
Using basic workshop equipment (lathe, miller, drill, grinder, hand tools)
Maintaining accurate documentation, drawings and maintenance records
Supporting installation, testing and commissioning (FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ)
Requirements:
HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical or Multiskilled Engineering
Relevant industry qualifications (18th Edition, CPS Part P, ECS, CCNSG or similar)
5+ years in a multiskilled engineering or maintenance role
Planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems
Working to recognised engineering codes, electrical standards and site policies
Confident working with plant equipment, control systems or mechanical assemblies
Using LOTOTO and Permit to Work systems
Managing spares and supporting reliability‑focused maintenance
Conducting root cause analysis and closing out actions
Maintaining and updating engineering documentation and line drawings
Understanding sensors, PLCs, HMIs and drives
Managing multiple maintenance or project tasks at once
Nice to have:
Ability to use, navigate and program PLCs and inverter drives
Experience with PLCs, DCS or automated systems
Experience with inline process control instruments or digital monitoring systems
Familiarity with TPM, AM, RM or 6S
QA or inspection experience
Vendor/contractor supervision
Welding or fabrication capability
Additional mechanical, electrical or instrumentation certifications
