Job Description:

The Monitoring & Observability Engineering Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for being an expert with a wide range of monitoring tools and driving best-in-class monitoring across regions and applications.

Job Responsibility:

Act as Observability & Monitoring SME to senior stakeholders and team members
Collaborate with stakeholders to drive incident prevention activities through self-healing, tuning of monitoring, and development of health checks
Drive POCs and incubate new features
Ensure long-term strategic success of observability solutions
Understand complicated application architecture
Recommend product customization for system integration
Identify problem causality, business impact, and root causes
Mentor junior team members
Impact engineering function by influencing decisions
Assess risk in business decisions and adhere to policies.

Requirements:

5-10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering & IT role
At least 4+ years of hands-on working experience in Enterprise monitoring system
Automation scripting
Drive the implementation and configuration of Enterprise Observability solution
Plan, design, build and manage Observability for applications running on multi-cloud environments
Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to observability tools
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices
Experience with backend technologies and databases
Experience with Python Programming
Experience with version control systems
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Good exposure to microservices/micro front end architecture
Experience with building applications on cloud platforms
Experience with CI/CD tools
Portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects
5+ years experience with End-to-End Monitoring & Observability concepts
4+ years of Application Development experience at an enterprise level
Experience with a range of architectural tech stacks including Java app servers, Web Servers, Cloud, Kubernetes, TIBCO, mainframe
2+ years working Splunk or alternative log analytics tools
Experience with synthetic monitoring tools
Ability to converse with application owners, architects, performance testers
Big Data and AIOPS experience
Knowledge of R or Python and machine learning algorithms
Experience working in Financial Services or a large global environment
Project Management experience
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership
Proven track record of operational process change and improvement.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of R or Python and machine learning algorithms
Splunk administration experience
Big Data and AIOPS experience.
