Monitoring and Control Engineer PV and BESS plays a key role in the continuous monitoring, analysis, and optimization of photovoltaic (PV) installations and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The goal is to ensure maximum performance, safety, and reliability of the energy assets.
Job Responsibility:
Real-time monitoring of PV plants and BESS operation through SCADA/EMS systems
Management of BESS operating modes – charging, discharging, peak shaving, frequency regulation, etc.
Analysis of production data, identification of deviations, and problem diagnostics
Coordination with energy trading companies for electricity sales and balancing, as well as with distribution companies and the transmission system operator (TSO)
Performing remote operations and coordinating with Operations & Maintenance engineers, technicians, and field teams during alarms and emergencies
Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports on performance, KPIs, PR, availability, and battery SoC/SoH
Working with analytics platforms, SCADA, inverter systems, and energy management platforms (EMS)
Monitoring the status of communications, servers, networks, and telemetry
Supporting the planning and execution of predictive and preventive maintenance
Participation in the optimization of configurations and control algorithms for PV and BESS
Ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures
Issuing work orders or instructions in accordance with the Safety, Technical, and Operational Regulations
Requirements:
Experience in monitoring, operation, or management of energy facilities – PV plants, wind farms, BESS, industrial energy systems
Experience with SCADA, PLCs, inverters, and EMS platforms is an advantage
In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering, power systems, and PV system principles
Skills in working with drawings, single-line diagrams, and schematic diagrams of electrical equipment
Understanding of BESS operation and architecture – battery cells, PCS, EMS, cooling, and safety systems
Knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP) is an advantage
University degree in electrical engineering
Level V electrical safety certification for work in electrical installations and networks above 1000V, according to ПБЗРЕУЕТЦЕМ
Experience with monitoring systems
Skills in analyzing large data sets and interpreting technical reports
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and respond quickly to issues
Analytical thinking and attention to detail
Ability to make independent decisions and take responsibility

Computer literacy, including proficiency in AutoCAD
Good command of the English language
Experience working in a fully equipped control center, including rotational shifts (24/7) if required
Ability to work with international teams and projects
Willingness to participate in emergency activities (on-call) in case of incidents
