Job Description:

Working with Middleware Webhosting you will provide support for variety of app hosting / web hosting and related services. The role resides within the Citi Technology Infrastructure structure. Responsibilities include supporting webhosting infrastructure, resolving incidents, scripting, driving projects, and cooperating with engineering groups within Citi’s infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

Contribute to both BAU (business as usual) support and delivery of Business and Technology driven projects through the installation, support, and management webhosting products
Fix, resolve and oversee app hosting/web hosting related incidents
Provide root-cause analysis for issues or web hosting related incidents and problems
Play a can-do role in process improvement within the team, along with supporting decent quality documentation of our standard processes
Provide 24x7 on-call support as 3rd line for critical Production systems based on team rotation schedule
Practice or learn scripting
Leading projects and driving major initiatives within Middleware estate, and to taking up mentorship to develop budding middleware engineers when necessary
Cooperate with Citi Middleware Engineering group and product management group to plan and deploy innovative solutions across Citi’s wider infrastructure

Requirements:

Developing in Python, Angular or other framework (i.e. React)
Connecting application with DB i.e. MongoDB
Experience with at least 2-3 of following products: Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere ND, Tomcat, OHS (Oracle HTTP Server), IHS (IBM HTTP Server), nginx
Ability to communicate well across all levels (written and verbally) in English
Ability to coordinate internal activities within the team and support cross region initiatives for the Middleware’s estate
Good knowledge of UNIX/LINUX
Familiarization with customer service techniques and the principles of ITIL
